Begin at the Beginning
You have found your way to the blog of Aaron Jay. Therefore, you likely have read and enjoyed this book:
Thanks very much for wanting to know more about the book and series. I am currently hard at work to get the next book in the series out. It is tentatively titled Foundation's Strength. The clever among you may have noticed a pattern here. If you didn't, don't feel bad as discerning a pattern from only two examples isn't easy. The titles for this series will all have an attribute or stat in the title. And I have a broad outline that should leave enough books to get through all the main stats of a character. It is this super clever word play that has made you come on over, I'm sure.
Anyway, if you want to help me out please link my book to anyone you think might enjoy it and leave a review on Amazon.
Thanks
I liked your book please keep writing. -TM
ReplyDeleteThanks. I liked your reading. Much better reading than those readers who read my book and didn't like it. Maybe you could teach them your obviously superior interpretation of my work.
DeleteDo not change your writing style PLEASE. you have a great flow to your story that really holds peoples interest.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words. Working on book two and the rest of the series should be pretty seamless, one to the next, in terms of tone. Going to be all Miles Boone in the first person all the way. Really glad you like his view of his world.
DeleteI’ve been slogging through book after book. VR, litRPG, fantasy, punk, cyber, SciFi, hellscapes, apocalyptic... you name it and I’m probably waiting for the author to release the next book in their multiple unfinished series.
ReplyDeleteI got to 45% and realized I was blown away. Got to 59% and stopped reading to tell you how impressed I am. I review each book that takes me for an adventure. But I’ve only messaged authors a handful of times.
I can’t wait to finish, but more importantly... I can’t wait to see how you progress as an author and this story. Well done. Well plotted. Well written. Well researched. And your character development is superb. Your world is awesome. Thank you for writing this. Totally hitting recommend at the end of this book.
This really got me motivated to surpass my writing targets. Thanks so much for the support. I hope you like the finale. I tried to have the book finish strong.
DeleteI absolutly loved you book! Litrpg need more authors like you. I predict you becoming one of the most popular litrpg writers in the near future.
ReplyDeleteHow is your track record with prophesy? Good I hope. :)
DeleteReally loved your book and the flow of it and how you managed to make it unique enough to stand out from others but still draw on the same concepts that I've come to love in other litrpgs really looking forward to the next one any prediction on around when you will release the next book so I can mark when to start looking out for it ?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words. I don't want to make any predictions yet as I don't want to disappoint if life or writer's block interferes. It is going well. The world of Miles is expanding. New antagonists. New mobs to fight. New quests that are stacked against him. I think if you liked the first you will be really happy with book two. I always prefered series that feel like one long tale broken up into sections. That is what I have planned and am executing.
DeleteLoved it! Can't wait for Book 2!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI keep reading the last several chapters and start over before the end... I fear the end... What will I do???? How long must I wait???
ReplyDeleteGreat tone and tempo, I enjoy the sense of real peril tying the game and life together. Also rare that a father is actually respected and alive in a story.
Thank you.
Thanks. Yeah - fatherhood is one of the more profound relationships we have as human beings. The easiest way to understand or critique something is to say what is wrong about it. To understand why something works or is worthwhile or is strong and valuable is a lot harder. Pop culture has gotten in the terrible and lazy habit of making Dad's absent, abusive or clueless idiots. Book 2 has more of Numitor and Mile's relationship and the real world. Going to get back to writing now! Will try and keep the delay for readers as short as I can while making the book as good or better than book 1.
DeleteSo nice that someone recognizes the state of fathers in literature at the moment. Men in general have been treated rather poorly as of late. It's hard to have role models for what makes a great man if you're only told about the handful that are not.
DeleteBeyond that, I've fallen in love with the LitRPG genre but have found only a few that are actually good books. This is definitely one of them. I very much look forward to the next.
"Merely" an excellent book.
ReplyDeleteMerely the best compliment for the book I've gotten.

ReplyDeleteI have read the book three times and enjoy it each time. When I enjoy a book, I have a tendency of rereading it. Great book, can't wait for the sequel. I especially loved the reference to the Land series by A. Kong, that made me laugh since I enjoyed that series as well.
ReplyDeleteI keep re-reading your book and then going to amazon to see if the next installment is available. I cannot wait for your next one. great job.
ReplyDeleteKeep going, please. =]
ReplyDeleteExcellent book, plain and simple, regardless of genre. You have a good balance of inside and outside story, and enjoy how you have presented the back story. I am looking forward to your next book.
ReplyDeleteVery much enjoyed this book. Any possible dates for the next?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely loved this book. Can’t wait for book 2. Thanks for the great read.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone heard anything yet? I'm have a frighteningly hard time fimding any kinda update
ReplyDeleteA strong first book, with a well-developed world that manages to tie the virtual and physical worlds together almost seamlessly, rather than focusing on one or the other. I especially like the villains, they may be opposed to the main character, but they too have a point and a story to tell. Well done, a solid 10 out of 10.
ReplyDeleteOk, now I'm getting worried
